EAST, FLORENCE.
March 23.—On March 20 occurred the death of Miss Alice Costin, oldest daughter of Mrs. Maria Costin, and the late
James Costin, at the age of 21 years. Miss Costin was taken ill with lung trouble about eight months ago and from the
start the germ of consumption made fast its hold and brought its young victim to a peaceful end. The deceased up until a few months ago was apparently the picture of health and hardly could her end so soon, with this fatal disease, be realized. Miss Costin was favorably known among a large circle of young friends who will miss her gentle disposition and fond companionship. She was a memmber of the League of the Sacred Heart; a part of which society attended the fnheral in a bodyj which occurred from Saint Mary's church yesterday ,at 10 o'clock, when Rev. Father Greene offered up a solumn mass for her soul. Interment was made in the family plot in St. Mary's cemetery. There
are left to mourn her loss an afflicted mother four sisters and a brother, viz: Mrs Joseph Smith, Nellie, Alma, Gretta
and James, all of this place.
