The Ertel Baker that is recorded as the mother of James Monroe Costner Jr., is actually Ertel McFadden. She had married a Baker and had one daughter with him, her name Louise. She was a widow when she married James Monroe Costner Sr., in Guymon, Oklahoma. I just wanted this posted in the event that someday someone sees Ertel McFadden and has more information on her. I have never been able to find out anything about her. Also there is the possibility that her name was Myrtle instead of Ertel. In 1968 her daughter was then Louise Bess (or Bass) living in Omaha Nebraska. I have not been able to find out anything about her either.
