Today I have a mystery for you.
It concerns a man called Pierre Cote.He was born circa 1860's in Quebec City.
Parents were unknown...he was abandonned at the age of 2 yrs it was said by his mother.
He was given to 3 separate families to raise before he found a permanent home.
He left Quebec City at the age of 14 yrs to work in Vermont,USA as a lumberjack.
He met a young woman and they married, she died a year into the marriage. Her name was Eulalie or Emilie Beaudoin.
He returned to Quebec province and settled in Ste-Sophie in Megantic, where he met and married Claudia Simoneau in 1887 July 5.
One day an elderly lady from a nearby town of St-Pierre-Baptiste,recently widowed, sought him out and announced she was his aunt. She asked Pierre & his family to come and live with her and care for her farm. From this meeting a farm was inherited by Pierre and his family upon her death.
Now I have tried as many others to find out who Pierre's aunt was and who his parents were.
Pierre Coté died April 5 1941 in St-Pierre-Baptiste
present were Eugene Cote,Achille Lambert,Rodolphe coté,Félix Cote,Alfred Ruel,Oscar Provencher,Alphonse Marcoux.
He did not sign his marriage as he couldn't write I surmise.
His witness was Edmond Champagne.
Does anyone out there know the parents of this man?
Anxiously waiting a reply.
