I am looking for a known male descendant (still carrying the Cottrell name) of the following lines for Cottrell Family DNA testing. I am attempting to genetically reconstruct these families:

b. He married Sarah Foster in Pike County, OH

c. Appears to have been a son of James Cotteral of Pike and Ross County, OH

4. Lewis Cottrill and Nancy Ellison of Pike County, OH

a. Lewis was bca 1802 in VA and married Nancy Ellison in Pike County, OH

b. Lewis died in Pike or Ross County, OH

c. Appears to have been a son of James Cotteral of Pike and Ross County, OH

a. Harrison was bca 1803 in VA and died 1886 in Ross County, OH

b. He married Mary James in Pike County, OH

c. Appears to have been a son of James Cotteral of Pike and Ross County, OH

The rules for taking the DNA test are as follows:

1. Be a male still carrying a variation of the surname Cottrell

2. Be at least 18 years old

3. Be willing to pay for and submit a DNA Sample

4. Submit your link (paper trail) back to these individuals

Although I am specifically looking for male descendants of these families, which appear to be apart of my family, anyone with a variation of our surname can participate (other families need your help in a similar fasion) in the test. Just go to this address and request to join:
