My neice, Olivia Hilliard, called me tonight about finding information on your message board about my great-grandfather William Cothron. According to my information, William was a carpenter in Hale County, Alabama. This is where his children were born, i.e. Joe, Henrietta(my grandmother), William, Ollie, Bessie, Ralph and Violet. My father, Victor, was raised in an orphran's home after Henrietta left his dad when Victor was five years old. I don't know anything about them living in Georgia, but from what I understand, after great-grandfather, John Atkins, died, the Atkins and Cothrons moved to Palatka, Florida. Florida is where we met Joe, Ollie, Bessie, Ralph, Wesley and Annie in 1950.
