My grandmother, Mary Lou, was the gg granddaughter to Silas Asyles Cottrell and my mother told me that there was an indian chief in her family as well. This story must've somehow been passed on through the generations but it's legitimacy is obviously impossible to find. Funny we all have the same story floating around. :D

I'm curious to know if anyone ever found out if there was a connection to the Quakers for the Cottrells?
