Hi Sandra, Its been a while since you posted the message on Robert Soward Myers. I believe that his father was Thomas Jefferson Myers.

I ran into his name while looking at one of his in-laws, Isaac Rankin, who was captured aiding the Confederacy on 12 Aug 1862. I've been able to follow Robert S Myers through several prison of war records where he is listed as a citizen.

I have also found records for Robert Soward Myers as a private in the Union 1st Regiment, Tennessee Independent Vidette Cavalry
