ALEDO, Ill. - Dean E. Coulter, 80, of Aledo, Ill., died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2000, at the Mercer County Hospital in Aledo.
Services will be at Fippinger Funeral Home in Aledo. The Rev. Rachel Stockle of Joy United Methodist church will officiate.
Burial will be at the Aledo Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the Joy United Methodist Church.
Mr. Coulter was born Sept. 14, 1919, in Marissa, Ill., the son of Charles E. and Etta McClay Coulter. He married Rosemary Weeks, May 13, 1944, in Aledo. He attended the Marissa Schools. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. He farmed in Mercer County and was a representative for the National Farmers Organization (NFO) until retiring to Aledo in 1970. He was a self-employed carpenter and an accomplished woodworker for many years. He was a member of the Joy United Methodist Church and the NFO.
Survivors include his wife Rosemary; a brother, Leslie Coulter and his wife, Lorraine, of St. Charles, Mo.; a sister, Marjorie Carol and her husband, Allen, of Aledo; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and a brother.

Service will be at the United Methodist Church, New BOSTON, Ill. Burial will be at New BOSTON Cemetery.
Dennison Funeral Home, Aledo, is handling the arrangements. Memorials may be made to New BOSTON Volunteer Fire and Ambulance.
Mrs. Coulter was born Jan. 22, 1921, in Texas County, Mo., the daughter of Sim and Annie Henderson Adkins. She married Fred Coulter on Dec. 14, 1937, in Muscatine. He preceded her in death Oct. 9, 1996.
She was a homemaker and helped on the farm.
She enjoyed sewing, gardening, music and especially spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include three daughters, Joann Richter and husband, Joe, and Ruthie Duncan and husband, Jerry, all of New BOSTON, and Shirley Bond and husband, Melvin, of Aledo; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; special friend, Mamie Howe of Eliza, Ill.; and a nephew, Albert Adkins of Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and several brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Coulter was born Dec. 16, 1923, in New BOSTON, the daughter of Milo and Nellie Matthews Diehl. She married Elmer Coulter Dec. 3, 1945, in Aledo. He preceded her in death Nov. 27, 2000.
She was a homemaker.
She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed crocheting, talking on the phone, gardening and fishing.
She was a lifetime member of Weight Watchers and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in New BOSTON.
Survivors include a daughter, Lucinda Puckett and husband Jim of New Boston; a daughter-in-law, Mary Coulter of New Boston; grandchildren, Christopher Coulter, Tonia Zimmerman, Mikki Coulter and Sarah Gillespie; a special niece, Ginger Pruess of Lowden; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Joanna Henderson of Aledo; and a brother, Dolan Diehl of Keithsburg.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, three sisters and a brother.

Burial is in the Eliza Creek Cemetery.
Memorials may be left to the Aledo Health and Rehab Center or the New BOSTON United Methodist Church.
She was born Sept. 13, 1919, in Eliza Township, the daughter of Samuel and Daisy Brown Shotwell.
She attended New BOSTON schools and married Vern Coulter in June of 1939 in Wapello. He died in 1984.
During high school, she was employed at the Abe Lincoln Hotel in New BOSTON. She later worked at Viola Sales and Engineering and the McKee Button Factory in Muscatine. She retired from Thatcher's Plastic in Muscatine.
Her memberships include the Mercer County Senior Citizens Center, AARP and the New BOSTON United Methodist Church.
She enjoyed traveling by bus with friends, going to the boats, gardening and planting flowers.
She is survived by two sons, Gary and Mary Coulter and Curtis Coulter all of New Boston; five grandchildren, Scott Coulter, Rhonda Zimmerman, Tonnie Dahl, Lisa Dunham and Kevin Coulter, 11 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother; four sisters; and a great-granddaughter.

She was employed briefly by Viola Sales and Engineers as a punch press operator and retired from the H.J. Heinz Company, Muscatine. She distributed meals for the Westmer School District and was a homemaker and caretaker to her family and husband.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church and enjoyed Bluegrass music, traveling and fishing.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Charlene King and husband James of New Boston; two sons, Charles Ernest Coulter and wife Janice and Ernest Lyle Coulter Jr. and wife Julie, all of New Boston; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Rose Ella Coulter of New BOSTON and Joanna Henderson of Aledo; and a brother, Dolan Diehl of Keithsburg, Ill.

MUSCATINE, Iowa - Hilda M. Browning Coulter, 82, died Friday, Aug. 17, 2001, at Lutheran Homes.
Graveside Services will be at the Conesville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jason Dipple, David Barquest Jr., Kevin Berry, Darrell Conaway Jr., William Berry, Jim Snyder, Randy Browning, Theodore Claire Browning, Amber Lautier, Angela Boris and Rachelle Browing.

Mrs. Coulter was born on July 15, 1919, in Andalusia, Illinois, the daughter of Frank and Jenny Spitznogle Kane. She married Emmel Browning in January of 1940.
She was a button cutter and later worked as a home health aide.
Survivors include two sons, Clayton 'Ted' Browning of Jefferson and Larry E. Browning of Muscatine; two daughters, Nancy Conaway of Dunnellon, Florida, and Patricia Snyder of Grandview; 16 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her twin sister, one additional sister in infancy, one brother, Clayton Kane, and one great-granddaughter.

She received her education from the Seaton schools and after graduation was employed at the former Wells Lamont Glove Factory and the Aledo Cafe.
She and her husband farmed for many years in Mercer County and later moved to Aledo. She worked at the Don R. Vickrey Agency and the former Martha Brown Ltd. Store
She was a member of the Joy United Methodist Church and enjoyed time spent with family and friends, especially the children of her nieces and nephews.
She had many talents including cooking, crocheting and ceramics. Her love and ''Green Thumb'' with plants were well known by all who knew her. In her later years she enjoyed woodworking with her husband and working at the Rhubarb Festival.
She is survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dean; brothers, Wayne Leroy Weeks, Dwight Eugene Weeks, George Coe Weeks, and Gerald Allen Weeks.

Mr. Coulter was born June 11, 1921, in Mercer County, the son of Ernest Starr and Mina Smith Coulter. He married Rosella Diehl on Dec. 3, 1945, in Aledo.
He worked for the Corp of Engineers for 25 years, retiring in 1984. He was assistant lock master at lock and dam 17 in New BOSTON.
He served in the Army during World War II in the Pacific Theatre.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 48 in New BOSTON.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, working on small engines, and foraging for mushrooms.
He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Rosey; a daughter, Lucinda Puckett and her husband, Jim, of New Boston; grandchildren, Christopher Coulter, Tonia Zimmerman, Mikki Coulter, Sarah Coulter; three great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Mary Coulter of New Boston; a sister, Lela Terrill of Aledo; and two brothers, Lyle Coulter of New BOSTON and Leo Mead of New BOSTON.

He attended local Eliza schools.
He was a heavy equipment operator for the Corps of Engineers, Midwest Engineering and Valley Construction, retiring in 1980.
He was an U.S. Army Airborne veteran.
He was a member of the New BOSTON American Legion Post No. 48 and the New BOSTON Masonic Lodge No. 59.
He loved fishing, hunting and woodworking.
Survivors include a daughter, Charlene King and her husband, James, of New Boston; two sons, Charles Ernest Coulter and his wife, Janice, and Ernest Lyle Coulter Jr. and his wife, Julie, all of New Boston; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Lela Terrill of Aledo; and a half brother, Leo Mead of New BOSTON.

MONMOUTH, Illinois -- Hazel Mae Coulter-Wagg, 68, Monmouth, formerly of Muscatine, died Sunday, May 2, 2004, at Cottage Hospital, Galesburg, Ill.
Services are at Trinity Episcopal Church, Muscatine. The Rev. Bartholomew Ryan will officiate. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Trinity Episcopal Columbarium.

She was born Jan. 12, 1936, in Enid, Oklahoma, the daughter of Charles and Trisha Franklin Klingenburg, her birth parents; and Guy and Ruth Klingenburg, her adoptive parents whom raised her. She married Verl Weatherman. She later married Kenneth Coulter. She married Robert Wagg April 14, 1981, in Muscatine.
She worked for many years at Huttig Manufacturing, Muscatine, and retired from H.J. Heinz Co., Muscatine.
She was a member of First Lutheran Church, Monmouth.
She enjoyed crafts, crocheting, quilting, knitting and sewing. She had also been an avid guitar player through the years.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Wagg of Monmouth, Illinois; two sons, Bob Weatherman of Muscatine and Bill Coulter and wife, Linda, of Paw Paw, Michigan; four daughters, Jean Seefeldt and husband, Steve, and Virginia Wagg, all of Muscatine, Lauri McArthur of New BOSTON, Illinois, and Bobbie Wagg of Grandview; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Vida Green of Pasadena, Texas.

Mr. Coulter was born on Sept. 9, 1928, in Eliza, Ill., the son of Ernest S. and Mina Smith Coulter. He married Harriett Jane Diehl on April 16, 1952, in Aledo. She preceded him in death on July 8, 2002.
He attended local Eliza schools.
He was a heavy equipment operator for the Corps of Engineers, Midwest Engineering and Valley Construction, retiring in 1980.
He was an U.S. Army Airborne veteran.
He was a member of the New BOSTON American Legion Post No. 48 and the New BOSTON Masonic Lodge No. 59.
He loved fishing, hunting and woodworking.
Survivors include a daughter, Charlene King and her husband, James, of New Boston; two sons, Charles Ernest Coulter and his wife, Janice, and Ernest Lyle Coulter Jr. and his wife, Julie, all of New Boston; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Lela Terrill of Aledo; and a half brother, Leo Mead of New BOSTON.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

MONMOUTH, Illinois -- Hazel Mae Coulter-Wagg, 68, Monmouth, formerly of Muscatine, died Sunday, May 2, 2004, at Cottage Hospital, Galesburg, Ill.
Services are at Trinity Episcopal Church, Muscatine. The Rev. Bartholomew Ryan will officiate. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Trinity Episcopal Columbarium.
The Jeffrey S. Nichols Chapel Hill Funeral Home and Crematory, Muscatine, is in charge of the arrangements.
She was born Jan. 12, 1936, in Enid, Oklahoma, the daughter of Charles and Trisha Franklin Klingenburg, her birth parents; and Guy and Ruth Klingenburg, her adoptive parents whom raised her. She married Verl Weatherman. She later married Kenneth Coulter. She married Robert Wagg April 14, 1981, in Muscatine.
She worked for many years at Huttig Manufacturing, Muscatine, and retired from H.J. Heinz Co., Muscatine.
She was a member of First Lutheran Church, Monmouth.
She enjoyed crafts, crocheting, quilting, knitting and sewing. She had also been an avid guitar player through the years.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Wagg of Monmouth, Illinois; two sons, Bob Weatherman of Muscatine and Bill Coulter and wife, Linda, of Paw Paw, Michigan; four daughters, Jean Seefeldt and husband, Steve, and Virginia Wagg, all of Muscatine, Lauri McArthur of New BOSTON, Illinois, and Bobbie Wagg of Grandview; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Vida Green of Pasadena, Texas.
