Minnie Coulter Long

pklong11  (View posts) Posted: 10 Jul 2000 7:00AM GMT
I am pretty confused on all of this. And I could
totally be wrong, but all I am trying to do is link
my grandfather Joseph Efton Long to his parents.
My mother has had a stroke and is a little sketchy
on details. She does remember her Grandparents
but not there names specifically. The bit of info
that I do have is that Andrew Long died in 1966.
My mother confirms that. And my grandma always
told me that my grandfathers dads name was Andy.

So now I am trying to link my grandfather with his parents,
so I am in need of some info on the children of Andrew
Minnie Counter Long.

They were alive during my mothers life and she was born
in 1944 so this Minnie Had to die some time
after that because my mom can remember her.

I know that I have probably babbled here and
I am sorry about that but like i said I am a
bit cofused at this point. I have however
sent off for a copy of my grandfathers
original application for a SS card and I am
hoping that it will shed some light.

Minnie Coulter Long more than likely from MO.

Small detail left out they mor than likely
lived in MO. My grandmther Louise Lorena
Long grew up in Rocky Comfort and met and
married my granfather there. she was raised
by his great Aunt and Uncle Ike and Ona Long.

The Coulter Family History I read at Madison WI or Des Moines, IA showed as follows
Johan Martin Bash 1738-1824
John Bash 1761-1850
Christian Bash 1804-1852
Mary Bash Coulter 1831-1915
Never did I imagine I would be anxious to contact current descendants, but that is the case now. If you don't find a good fit, I'll have to wait until I'm in Madison, or maybe some Coulter from this other branch would reply!!! Still looking forward to knowing the Coulter Family better - thanks

Howard, I am very interested in a copy of your Pa. Coulter's of Slippery Rock, Grove City, Mercer, Pa. I have many Coulter's from that area in my line. My father was born in Butler, Pa. Trying to research my mother's line and her grandfather was supposed to have been related to a Coulter.....I have Coulter's coming both ways in the family. My email: apresario@ispchannel.com Ellie

I would love a copy of the PA Coulter report you have. I am a descendant of John Colter of Lewis Clark Expedition. Thank you. Shirley.
