Michelle my name is James Samuel Coulter(Jim) My Father was Perry Elliott Coulter who married my Mother Effie Simmons, who was a Cherokee Indian in 1920 in Emanuel county GA.. My Father Perry Elliott Coulter was born in Phoenix City,Lee County Alabama. My Grandfather was Pierce Coulter married My Grandmother Susan Smith, who was Indian and was Pierce's second Wife in 1897. They disappered in 1903 and left my Father and his Sister Ermie Orphans. Someone took Ermie because she was the oldest. They put Perry in an Orphans home at 2 years old. Pierce's Father was Levi and Levi's Father Was Moses Coulter. I can't think of the middle names right now or their Wives. I am having one hard time getting them traced. I got Them all traced back to the 1700's at one time on this site. Now I get a no match every time I try tracing them. I Think that Effie was born in GA. but I am not sure. She died in Emanuel county GA. in 1939 from childbirth. She had Married a Bill Sowell or Sowells after Perry died in 1937 or 38. I don't know what happened to our Sister or what her name was.
