I am sorry, but the facts you give do not seem to indicate a connection between our Coulters. My John Coulter was John M. Coulter. It is true that he may have been born in Tenn., but there were Coulters in a number of counties in the early 1800's. You do not give a date for him, but, based on the other surnames you list, I do not think we care connected. You might check Blount and Bledsoe Counties in Tennessee for your John.

high my name is michael coulter to answer your question you do have some indian but your not decnded from indians your decended from the irish. john was my uncle, his brother william is my father , poncho was my cousin who lived in medora, in his father's name was earl coulter from bedford, in. he was born feb. 1, 1900 my grandfather his mother's name was margarite or margaree is what they mostly called her my grandmother. earl passed away april 15 1977 and is buriedat the bryantsville cemetery on your way to shoals margeree passed away july 3 1994. hope this helps, mike

We are looking for a John Howard Coulter, born Feb 22 1896 I believe. Left Ohio in l931 and never saw him again. He was my grandfather. Any information on him? Born in Bellaire Ohio, mother from Canada, last name of Peltier or Pelke.
