My husband's GGgrandmother was Aurelia Counter, b. 1868 in Illinois. She married one John Willette (I always figured it was Ouillette or Ouellette) abt. 1885. Their daughter, Amanda Maude was born in Muskegon, Michigan. They then moved to Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan where they lived out their lives. I am quite sure that we are talking about the same family here as I also find references to Illinois and Rhinelander. I have a photo of an older Aurelia and husband John if you're interested. I'm also trying to find out about Eva Counter who married Castonguay (sp).

I have found references to Edward J. and Eli being Aurelia's brothers, but that's all the farther I've gone back.
