I guess when grandpa came from Holland our name was changed from Van Courtlandt to Courtland. I am so interesred to find out about our great history of our family that my dad had always wanted to check out.
Ijust ran across your query about the Courtland family, and Boyd and Stevenson. We also are researching these families. We are descendants of Blanche Stevenson, daughter of Henry Stevenson and Estella Pearl Boyd. Blanche married Mack Courtland, son of Thomas Jefferson Courtland and Anna Walker. their daughter Pearl is my husbands mother. My email is waterway1028@gulftel.com . If you will email me I have some information on the stevensons, but am hitting a dead end on Courtland. I could not make the connection between Stonewall and Mack.

Thank you for any help on this.
