Jim,
My Thomas and William Cowan were from Burke/Rutherford Co. NC, sons of Joseph Cowan 1825-1907 and Mary Malinda (Long) Cowan 1830-1857. Left NC sometime between 1875-1885 and were known from NC Court records to be in Pursell Indian Territory, Oklahoma 1889-1892. They were named in the Wills of grandparents, Desi and Thomas Long of Rutherford Co. NC.
Can you tell me about the parents of your Thomas Lincoln and Moses? Where born, when, lived where before Texas?
