An ancestor trace done by my grandfather's brother shows their ancestry goes back to: Mahalemah, of a Choctaw tribe,(location unknown) a son, Ezekial (about 1770), his son, John (abt. 1800 SC)(m.) Mary Helveston, 1810, AL, their daughter, Eran Cowart (1839-1914)(m.) Francis Rogers, their daughter, Elizabeth "Ella" Rogers (m) Joseph Edsel Goff, who were my grandfather's parents. Does this correspond with anyone else's Cowart Family History, including Green and Jackson Counties, MS ?
