Ferdinand Paul COWEE

Anyone researching Ferdinand "Paul" COWEE? I believe he was the son of Seneca COWEE. He married my ancestor, Sara DODDERER (d/o Philip and Sarah DODDERER). They lived a while in Kinderhook, Pike Co., IL. Then they moved to Nebraska. Paul was a Civil War vet.

I am interested in his family lineage.Thanks!

We are trying to find the maiden name, date of birth, marriage date, death date of James Cowee's 2nd wife, Adelia.
We think they may have been married around 1901 in Illinois. But moved soon thereafter to Cameron Hall Nebraska as they are listed on the 1880 census. We are also searching for James Simeon Cowee's parents. We will appreciate any info to steer us in the correct direction.

Sarah Cowee b.12 oct 1759 married Zeeb green and moved to Vermont. There children were Almond, Orange(twins) and Laura b.5 may 1800. This is all I know about them. Hi. I am looking for the parents and siblings and other information about Mary Catherine Cowee. She was born in October of 1949 in Washington Co, OH. She married Abraham "A B" Schlotterback May 16, 1872 in Washington Co, OH. Abraham Schlotterback was born 1849 in West Newton PA.
Thanks to a Schlotterback kin, I know about the Schlotterback family, but nothing more about Mary Catherine (aka Catherine). One of their children was Myrtle Irene Schlotterback. She married Heratio Thomas "Tom" Steele in Washington Co, OH.

They had 10 children of which one of the middle ones was my husband's mother, Eunice Norma. Norma was born in Nebraska in 1909. The earlier children were born in either OH , Nebraska, or somewhere along that trail. The rest of the children were born in New Mexico where Myrtle Irene and Tom Steele as well as A B and Mary Catherine Schlotterback came in 1910.

If anyone has any information pertaining to Mary Catherine (Cowee) Schlotterback's ancestery, I would really appreciate the help. One of her grandson's was named "Cowee".

I was just wondering if your COWEE line could possibly be related to my COOEY line. The reason I ask is because my family is from the Holmes and Walton County area of Florida and can be dated there back to 1850 with my earliest ancestor William COUY born around 1805. Although his wife (Abigail), listed her place of birth as North Carolina in 1824, his place of birth was unknown. Their children were: Sarah Couy (born in Alabama), and Amanda (maiden name ?) COUY and William J. COUY (born in Florida) in 1840's. We think that the child William J. COUY may have had the middle name of Jefferson although we used to believe it was Julius or Jule. Both parents died and in 1860 census the children were living in the JONES family household but the childrens names were now spelled COOIE. This Jones family may have a relationship to the WARD family next door as well. We assumed that maybe the JONES or WARD family may have been related to them but unable to connect so far. When the child William J. COUY married a MORRISON, he was listed on the 1870 census as William COUHEY but his military records list his name as CUEY. Other misc. information within those counties list them with the spelling as COWEE, COOWE, etc. Other (possible) surnames which may be related to this line at that time could be ETHERIDGE or ELDRIDGE, WEBB. Any reply or suggestions would be appreciated.

I was married to Wayne Keith Cowee. His grandfather was James S. Cowee, buried in Rogers, Arkansas about 1920. I lived with Opal, one of James' daughters in Rogers in the early 60's. Keith's father was Leonard Leon Cowee, who died in Kansas City, MO about 1954. My children would love to know of relatives.
