Hi Chris, My name is Ted Johnson. We live in Adelaide. My wife is Vanessa. Her mothers maiden name was Cowie.She was Alice May Cowie born at Tumby Bay near Port Lincoln on Eyre Peninsula. Her Fathers name was Arthur Walters Wilson Cowie who was born at Wirrabara near Port Augusta in 1882. Tracking back the family tree he is in the line of John Cowie and Jean Mitchelson. Arthur Cowie's father was Henry Hutchinson Cowie whose father Henry first came to Australia .He died in Adelaide in 1882. Not sure whether the connection is through Robert Cowie. Have you done any research to verify how Cowies came to be in SA. Regards Ted J
