I know your thread has been here a while but I've just joined and think my family may be of interest. I have pasted the below for you;

My great grandma was named Annie Cowie, who came from Peterhead, she was born in 1874 an was the daughter to Alexander Cowie and Jane Morrison.

Annie Cowie married David Jack, who then moved back to Avoch in the black Isles and gave birth to my grandpa, Donald Jack in 1920.

I have added the below, tracing back through Annie's family;

Alexander Cowie was the son of William Cowie and Janet Farquhar.

William Cowie was born in 1812.

Janet Farquhar's father was James Farquhar, James was born in 1788.

Jane Morrison was the daughter of James Morrison and Isasbella Smith
