Do any of you have a John Cowlishaw of Sheffield who was christened 11 Nov 1781who married a Mary Ann Mappin, daughter of Joseph Mappin of Sharrowvale, on 18 June 1828. I need to be sure his parents were John Cowlishaw and Mary Cousins. John Cowlishaw and Mary Cousins were married on 24 Apr 1771. Both weddings took place in Cathedral St. Peter in Sheffield. However the Mappins attended Howard Street Chapel---too small for a big wedding.
The children of John and Mary Cousins Cowlishaw were:
Edward, b. 11 July 1779; John Cowlishaw (who married Mary Ann Mappin), b. 11 Nov 1781; Mary Cowlishaw, b. 1 Jan 1784;
Martha Cowlishaw, b. 4 June 1786; and Elizabeth Cowlishaw, b. 6 Apr 1792. All Christenings were held in Cathedral St. Peter in Sheffield, York, England. Email me if you have interest or information on this John Cowlishaw family .
