Thanks Don for your information. There is a possibility - William R. Cox born in 1822 in Virginia. Looking back at some notes after I sent the reply, I realized that William was more than likely born in Virginia, but I had no date. Given the fact that his son George W. Cox was born in 1850, William would have been in the right age range. This info gives me some hope as I felt as I had run into a brick wall. I also know that my great grandfather George W. had a brother named Robert. George's son, James had a sister named Mary. Unrealistic how all these names are appearing in my line and in the info you sent. I know they are pretty common names, but I also realize that they used to name children after aunts, uncles, grandparents etc.

If you do not mind sharing, I would love to see your file and see if I am on the right track.
