My father didn't talk about his mother. It was a housekeeper with children that raised him. He said she was good to him and fair. I can understand Bertha having a bad time of it with Oscar. He was very cool and reserved. My father was wonderful, warm and loving. Must of taken after Bertha. I gave my daughter, Deb, pictures of the Coys, Oscar, Frank, Arthur, Nettie and Abigail.
