Berdette 'Bert' Cozad, 80, Davenport, died Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2006, at Genesis West, Davenport, after a brief illness.
Friends and family are to meet at Runge Mortuary and Crematory, Davenport, to go to the cemetery in procession.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Genesis VNA Hospice.
Mr. Cozad was born Oct. 18, 1926, in Melrose, the son of Otis and Inez Owens Cozad.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean conflict from 1943-1951.
He was in the used car business for many years in Muscatine County. He was a member of American Legion Post 430 and charter member of the Arizona City Loyal Order of the Moose.
Survivors include his wife, Betty; a daughter, Deborah Storjohann and husband Kenneth of Princeton; a son, Bernard of Davenport; stepsons, Michael Minser of Davenport and Steve and Scott Olsen, both of Muscatine; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Violet Stamos of Davenport; and two brothers, James of Arizona City, Ariz. and Otis Dean of Rock Island, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Nora.
