Cozens Epsom 1780s

I have hit a brick wall with my Cozens' or Cusens from the 1780s in Epsom. I have my gt gt grandfather Samuel Cusens/Cozens bap 11 March 1788 in Epsom. I am happy that I have the right person. From IGI he appears to have elder brothers William b1780, Edmund b1783 d1819 in Bookham - which is where his mother Mary Argles was from and John b1785. Parents are Edmund and Mary but here is rub - on a hand written tree that my father did in 1970s he has Samuel but only sisters no brothers. He has father and mother down as Edmund and Mary and has Samuel bp in Epsom but underneath Edmund he has written the legend born and died a Norfolkman! Samuel moved to Southwark/Greenwich and died in 1869 aged 81. In the census he uses the surname Cozens and shows Epsom as his place of birth. If any of these names link into anybody's trees I'd love to hear from you.
