MUSCATINE, Iowa - Robert 'Robin' Cleveland Crabtree, 50, of Muscatine, died Sunday, June 5, 2005, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics after a courageous battle against leukemia.
Service will be at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home, 1931 Houser Street. Pastor Jamie Oehme of the Vineyard Christian Fellowship Church will officiate. An Honorary Bearer will be Jeff Harris. Casket bearers will be Robert L. Crabtree, Ryan Crabtree, Kenny Nesbit, Lucas Nesbit, Tim McLoughlin, and Ken Herlin. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Robert was born on April 20, 1955, in Warsaw, Illinois, the son of Marvin Leroy and 'Ruth' Bertha Lewis Crabtree. He married Sarah Heil on October 17, 1981, at the Methodist Church in Tipton.
He worked for Todd Hackett Construction prior to his illness.
He loved fishing, mushroom hunting, a good horse shoe game, bingo, and Nascar racing. He was a Chicago Cub Fan and always enjoyed his scratch lottery tickets.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah Crabtree of Muscatine; two sons, Robert Leroy Crabtree and Ryan Allen Crabtree at home; two daughters, Rhonda Crabtree of Bennett and Wendy Cerventes of Davenport; two grandsons; one granddaughter; his parents, Marvin and 'Ruth' Bertha Crabtree of Muscatine; and his brothers and sisters, Kenny Nesbit of Muscatine, Jim Crabtree and Terry Crabtree of Keokuk, Rose Brooks of Davenport, Hazel Fuller of Muscatine, Shirley Crabtree of Muscatine, Marvis Paasch of Muscatine, Ruth Shilling of Davenport, Bertha Crabtree of Muscatine, Pansy Lynch of Muscatine and Mary Gomez of Davenport.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Charles 'Captain' Crabtree
