I am researching the Brown family connections of this family.I believe some of the family lived in Limestone Co. Al. also. I found a Will dated Jan. 29, 1828 Madison Co. Al. of Samuel Brown. Execs to erect a decent monument to my late beloved wife Catherine Brown. To son James Brown one individual moiety of all my estate -- when he reaches 21 or sooner if in the opinion of my execs his habits and discretion qualify him to manage it. The other undivided moiety to my friends and relatives Thomas C. Percy, James E. Craighead and my son James in trust for the sole benefit of my beloved daughter Susan C. Brown. To my aged sisters Elizabeth Craighead and Mary Humphreys.Execs: Thomas G. Percy and James Craighead.Wit:D.H. Mackey,E. Littell, Nath A. Ware. Prob. by Eleakim Littell and Nathaniel A. Ware who say that D.H. Mackey also signed and has since --- perished at sea on board the sloop "Hornet". State of Pensylvania,City of Philadelphia.
