I've been searching for info on James Craig for a year without success. I just found a listing in the 1850 census for St. Joseph Co. Michigan an entry for James Crague and his wife Fanny (Wolf). They are definitely my ancestors.

He is listed as having been born in Ireland, she in PA. I have another later census when the name is spelled Craig and he is listed as having been born in Scotland.

Their children were Louisa, Ezekiah, Jonas, Harriet, Margaret, Stephen, James and John.

Jonas was born in Ohio, James and John in MI, and the remaining in PA.

Hoping to find a lead for this part of my family.

John Crague of Windham

I am looking for a John Crague (b. ca 1791 d. ca1860-1870) from Windham, Cumberland Co, Maine.

The little information I have on him is the following:

His daughter, Hannah (b. ??? d. bef. 1860), was married to Daniel Mayberry (b. 1803 in Windham d. ca 1891 in Windham) I found John in the 1860 and 1870 census with Daniel and his eldest son Nelson. (Hannah was dead by then.) John is not on the 1880 census so I would estimate he died ca. 1860-1870.

Daniel and Hannah Mayberry's son, John "Nelson" Mayberry (1837-1905) is my great-great grandfather. I have more info on he and his wife, EIizabeth Bodge, including his (and hers) Civil War Pension papers. I also have more info on their son, Willard Mayberry and his wife, Mary Ann O'Donnell.

Any help would be appreciated. I will share any info I have. Please email as well as post.
Thanks,
Angel Hutchison

Thanks for the information on the family from Ireland. My father has attempted to research our family (Crague side) and has had very limited success. The farthest back he has been able to go was his grandparents and he thought they were from Quebec. Did any of your family go to Quebec from Maine. We are also from Indiana.
