Charles Allen Craine
Of Altoona RD 1, near Asbury, died unexpectedly at his home at 12:50 p.m. yesterday of a heart attack. He was born in Antis Twp. Jan. 14, 1882, a son of William D. and Sarah Ann (Troxell) Craine, and on Oct. 21, 1905, in Altoona, married Lena May Stevens, who preceded him in death. Surviving are two children, Robert D. Sr. of RD 1 and Mrs. Violet Cherry of Juniata; eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, two brothers and a sister, Frank T. of Altoona RD 1, Blair D. of Bellwood and Mrs. Mary S. Rupert of Huntingdon. He was a member of the Asbury Methodist Church and Bellwood Eagles, had resided in the area for the past 49 years and retired from the signal department of the Pennsylvania Railroad. Friends will be received at the Fuoss Mortuary, Bellwood, after 2 p.m. tomorrow.
