Wondering if anyone has information on Craine Family History? I'm the grandson of Kenneth Craine (milwaukee) and his brother's name is Tom (Uncle Tom's family is awesome), and I belive his father's name was Thomas Craine who eventually settled in Mendota,Ill marrying my great grandma Buehla she was a really nice lady i remember her. Thats all my information except i remember my grandfather mentioning the family being horse theives up in canada and saying that his grandfather was irish i think from the isle of man and "CLAIMED" an ancestor ( I think his grandpa) got a girl pregnant and almost sailed out on the titantic to come to America but they wouldnt let the couple on because they weren't married and had a shileleigh that he used to hit him with and that he would walk from one end of town to the other and back stopping at every bar and drinking whiskey. thats all i can remember sorry its not very classy info but thats all i have to work with and my grandpa's not so lucid anymore, any help would be greatly appreciated!
