Crane Family from Norfolk, England
I am interested in any information anyone has to share regarding the origins of the Crane family in Norfolk, England. I have traced my paternal line back to Thornham, Norfolk and am particularly interested in obtaining further information about this line.
My g-g-g-g-grandfather was John Crane: b. abt. 1758 in Thornham, Norfolk, England. John married Ann Evetts in Thornham on 22 Aug 1791. They had 4 children:
John Crane: b. abt. 1792 in Thornham, Norfolk, England. He married Mary Allen. They had 6 children. John’s occupation was a miller and baker. He was the owner of Thornham Composite Mill from 1836-1865: http://www.norfolkmills.co.uk/Windmills/thornham-composite-m...
Ann Crane: b. abt. 1793 in Thornham, Norfolk, England
Elizabeth Crane: b. abt. 1795 in Thornham
Thomas Crane: b. abt. 1797 in Thornham. Thomas (my g-g-g grandfather) married Mary Ann Drummond at Saint Dunstan's Church in Stepney, London, England on 27th Sep 1821. His occupation was a Cork Cutter. They had 6 children.
Any information or suggestions about researching the Cranes in Norfolk, England is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Darrell Crane
