Harry's from Little Rock, Arkansas, so it's a bit unclear why this article appears in a Hutchinson, Kansas newspaper; perhaps that's where he's from originally. His siblings are in Wichita and Garden City, both in Kansas.
He's a "junior", so it seems likely that this person in the SSDI is his father:
HARRY G Cranston
b. 16 Apr 1907
d. 12 Mar 1998
Last residence: Garden City, Finney Co., KS 67846
I didn't find this person in the 1930 census, but it looks like he's in the 1920 census in Franklin Twp., Ness Co., KS with his father Harry J. CRANSTON. The latter says he's from Ireland, so this is yet another immigrant stream. (Perhaps there's a connection to my branch, also from Ireland.)
