Hi,
I am a newbie to researching so please excuse any procedural errors.
My Lindsay ancestors have been traced to Ballyscullion Co. Derry, to a Francis Lindsay 1794-1879. i think his fathers name was either Robert or James or Robert James.He was not from Co. Derry area. Francis's eldest son was Rev. Robert Lindsay, 1824-1900,, vicar of Ballina and Lisburn. Rev. Walter Lindsay was COI rector of Ballyscullion ,1767-1775, so there may be a clerical connection to Co.Tyrone here. I see that Cranstons and Lindsays intermarried. Have you any data?
