Parents: William Crase, b. 1833, Cornwall, England, d. 1912, Calumet, MI. Caroline Richards, b. 1832, England, d. 1882, Ishpeming, MI. When William was 18 years old, he and Caroline came to Copper Harbor, MI. Children: Silena; William T.; Caroline (Mrs. Alexander Collins) of Butte; Richard H.; James J., of Houghton County, MI; Edward Charles, of Butte; Minnie; George A; Frank A.
Frank A. Crase was educated in Michigan, left school at age 15, and located to Butte, MT, 17 Aug. 1894.
In 1894, Calumet, MI, Frank married Miss Edith T. Robert, daughter of John F. and Henrietta (Brunn) Robert, the former being a direct descendent of Colonel Robert who served in the American Revolution and was married to a sister of Lafayette. Crase children: Ethel; Frederick Robert.
