I have quite a bit of research posted on my website: www.tuckerfamilytree.info with a chapter on Craveners who all pretty much can trace roots back to the original George Cravener family of Alleghany Co, Pa. The site is free and hopefully of help to researchers of the Cravener name in the US. I am fairly certain all Craveners in the US can trace back to George. My mother's maiden name is Cravener.

Hi Tricia, I just saw your post. I checked my database and think I have found your John. I had no middle name/initial for him. But found his mother's name Alice and all of the sibs you listed that you found on the 1900 census. His father's name was Adam Cravener. Hi, I'm looking for information on my great grandfather, John James Cravenor/Cravener. He was born in Pennsylvania in 1884 snd moved to Muskingum Co., Ohio before 1908, where he was married to a Cora Dunn. I don't know what part of PA and I believe the last name may have started out as Cravener. I found a John Cravener in Kittaning Twp in 1900 who's the right age with parents Adila?? and Alice Cravener. Sibs are listed as Mary, Maggie,(John), Frank, Andy, Albert, Della, and William. Please any information on this line or on any other John J. would be greatly appreciated!

Iam looking for any info on David Dunmire who married Sarah Catherine Starry. Parents of Sarah were George and Elizabeth Trostle Dunmire. Also looking for info on George Cravener who married Lenora M. (maiden name might be Fairman). George and Lenora are buried in Creekside, PA. I believe all families lived in western PA especially the areas of Indiana, Saltsburg and Creekside.

I am searching for information to my great Uncle. Herb Cravener. Unfortunately I know very little about him. He married my great aunt, Marie Rush (she was born March 10, 1926 died February 3, 1992).
They had two sons, Larry Rush and William Cravener who was born in 1952.
Any help anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated!

Mongold-Cravener Family Letters

I was in a flea market sometime back in southwest Missouri and came across some letters dated 1911-1912 between William C. Mongold and Lucie Mae Cravener. It got me thinking that I wished I could find something such as this that belonged to my family.
Anyway I got curious as to how these letters had ended up in a flea market instead of in the family's home. So I thought I would check and see if there is anyone out there, perhaps a son or grandchild of the couple, who might want such letters.
I did purchase a couple of them as I have always been interested in such things.
I actually found the couple on a pedigree chart and here is the link to it....
