Thomas c Crawford (son of Alexander Crawford) was born 1775, and died 05 Sep 1844 in wapello, ia. He married Rachel Blount on 1806, daughter of William Blount and Mary McCoy.
Notes for Thomas c Crawford:
killed in the dahlonega war in 1844 with the wood party stopping the claim jumpers.
His estate was the first probate of Wapello co recorded. Administrator of the estate was his son William c Crawford along with john stout.
Thomas took his family to Kentucky for a few years and then they went to Wayne co, in(prob before 1810) then to Randolph co that became Delaware co and then went to the porter/laport county area of Indiana in the mid 1830's.by 1840 they were in Iowa territory. They were the first in van buren co, IA. Where Thomas died.

Can somebody tell me if Thomas Crawford who died 1844 Dahlonega War is buried at Dahlonega Cemetery? Also his wife Rachel Blout Crawford?
WPA doesn't have him lsted and either does Dahlonega Cemetery book.

William Blount (b abt 1760 perhaps in PA) died in 1833 in Delaware County Indiana. He was one of the very first settlers in Randolph, Wayne, & Delaware Counties in Indiana. He was probably married to a Mary McCoy. From the information I've looked at, I surmise that William Blount and Mary McCoy had the following children:
