And this may or may not be a hit, but the if the record that the other poster was correct, your Andrew J Crawford was born in Alabama. I found 1 other Andrew J Crawford b in 1866 in AL. Here are the family members from the 1870 census. In this case, your Andrew J would be 4 years old and parents would be AJ and Virginia. Does any of this ring a bell to you?
