Are your related to Samuel Mauston Crawford and Emily Louverna (Pine) Crawford of Mercer County, WV? Isaac Crawford and Nancy (Willet) Crawford were the parents of Samuel. If so let's share information. I am especially interested in learning more about a family reunion that was held sometime between 1910 and 1920.

I am a Crawford but never did know my Grandpa Dewey,Although I did get a chance to meet his brother Uncle Lyle and his lovely wife Aunt Eunice and heard some stories about the Crawfords, but I was a teenager and of course didnt listen. Now im thirsty and have gotten me a new hobby and it is researching my Dads, Dads side of the family.
my dad was Harold Crawford,( carroll county ga)
his dad John Dewey Crawford ( carroll county ga)
mom was Abbie Elizabeth Phillips (Carroll County ga)
his dad was James ( jim) B. Crawford ( carroll county ga)
mom was Lena (long) Crawford ( carroll county ga)
their kids were
Pauline, Lyle, Ruby,Dewey, Lenora, Clara B.
All of these were from the Carrollton, Georgia area.
I have come to a stand still on my grandpa Dewey. From what I can remember he went on to marry another lady Effie Hemming? maybe
He was found dead behind his home in 1944 gun shot from a 22 rifle suicide( not sure)but thats what the newspaper clipping my sister had stated.
So if anyone can help please do
thank you
Peggy (crawford) Krakeel

My dad's grandfather was William (Bill) Henry Crawford. His son, Luther, was my grandfather. Luther was born 4/25/1892. I have no dates for Bill. His wife was Dillie Foster. Could this be Bill's dad? My father, Leroy, was born and raised 3 miles north of Webb, Al. There was a Crawford's Farm and Crawford's Creek which had been in the family for over 100 years (that was in 1931). Luther abondoned his family and they moved to central Florida. One of Luther's brothers, Beachum, also moved to central Florida. Some of the other siblings lived in Al., Ga., and S.C.

Looking for any information on Crawford/Miller connection from Crab Orchard or Mt. Vernon KY.

J A Crawford was born 28 Jul 1856 in KY. We do not know who his mother of father were but family story has it that his mother died and his father remarried. His father was shot through a picture window of his home. The step-mother remarried and traveled with her new husand and step-son (J A Crawford) through Texas County, Missouri around 1875 on their way to what would become the famous 101 Miller Ranch in OK. J A Crawford stayed behind in Missouri and Married Harriet Rider. We know J A Crawford as Jones (Joe) A Crawford.

Any information on who J A Crawford's parents or step-parents were, would be most appreciated.

I have an original Cabinet Card photograph of “Jessie Crawford - 1895”, which I’d like to get back to descendants or family members. Photo was taken in Whitewater (Walworth Co.) WI, and she looks to be about age 20-21.

I found the family of Jessie Crawford, in Mukwanago (Waukesha Co.) WI census of 1880, showing she was Jessie S. Crawford, age 5. Daughter of James M. (age 40) and Lonie S. (age 37) Crawford, with sisters Mattie (11), Loni (9), Norie (3) and brother Willie (7).

Get back to me at margerice@prodigy.net if you are related to Jessie Crawford of Waukesha Co., WI.

I have two original Cabinet Card photographs of “Minnie (Crawford) Kelly” and “Cousin May Crawford”, which I’d like to get back to descendants or family members. Photos were each taken in Waukesha (Waukesha Co.) WI in approximately 1890-1895, and each of them looks to be in their early 20s..

I did not find any proofs in 1880 or 1900 censuses for Waukesha Co., to prove who these girls were, but I believe they were related to Crawfords named Jessie and Lonie, of Walworth Co., WI, and possibly to James M. and Lonie S. Crawford of Waukesha Co., WI.

Get back to me at margerice@prodigy.net if you are related.

Would VERY MUCH like to learn his parents, place and time of death. His wife was named Mary Richards. She was born in Wales. Until I can get a line on Milan's ancestors I can't go on with my family search. Can anyone out there help me?

I figure he's the son of John Crawford, but would like to be able to prove that. While John Crawford's will states he has a son Andrew, there seem to be quite a lot of Johns and Andrews.

I find this topic
fascinating, and I want to learn more.
My maternal grandfather's family (Crawford)
is supposed to link me to Mary, Queen of Scots.
I am, what they say, a decendent. I am very
interested in finding out more and getting info
on how to research my family.
Whoever can help will be greatly thanked.
Feel free to e-mail any time.

I know some of the Crawfords from Wayne moved out to Tenn., including the line with Lazarus in it. I am REALLY trying to track down a William Crawford, born in 1814
which is listed below. So if any of the children were born in NC, that would help as well.

The 1820 Wayne Co, NC Census (CRAWFORD, THOS. 2-1-0-1-1-0 2-0-1-0-1 0-2-0-0 ) indicates a possible match as well, if one of the sons died at an early age, or if they had some others living with them as well.

If you have any further information about Thomas, or the children that would prove or disprove this option...

Thanks,
Eric Crawford
alinor@bellsouth.net
Information on the Crawford Family in Texas

I am hoping that someone out there can help me obtain some information on the Crawford Family in Texas. I know that there was a book published before 1967, but not sure if it was on the Crawford side or the Lewis side. The title of the book is called "And Then There Were Ten Thousand". I have no idea where to find this book or who published it. My grandfather was Roscoe Clarence Crawford born in Travis, TX, 9/12/1906. His Father was Andrew Jackson Crawford B-1866, his Mother was Anne Evans B-1937.
My Grandmother was Mable Elizabeth Lewis B- 1909, her father was Jasper Hogan Lewis, and her mother was Latherine Pathsheba Gilchrist.
If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated.
Lisa

I am looking for information on Thornton (John)Crawford born c1806 in Nicholas, Ky and died before 8/17/1833 near headquarters, Nicholas, Ky. He was married to Elizabeth Snapp (2/2/1808 Nicholas, Ky) on 9/28/1826, Nicholas, Ky. They had two children: John S. and Sarah A. Crawford. After his death, they all migrated to Illinois. We have a great deal of information about his descendants, but can't find anything about his parents, etc.. We are very interested in finding out where "near headquarters" was as this is a puzzle, too. Any clues are greatly appreciated. Thank you and God bless.
Suzanne Cade Crawford, Ca.
I am looking for any info on the CA marriage of Lillian B. Crawford & Diedrich C. Jacobs on 17 Oct 1969. On the same date another marriage is indexed betw. Lillian B. Israel & Diedrich C. Jacobs. Which is her maiden name?

This is probably the Diedrich C. Jacobs aka Thomas Frerichs (any combination of those names), b. 16 Jul 1900 Germany who died 23 Sep 1981 in L.A., CA. Also possibly Diedrich C. Jacobs, b. abt 1896 Germany (according to IL marriage cert) who married Anna Platzky in 1927 & left her abt a yr later & headed for WA, OR, or CA. Probably the Diedrich C. Frerichs, b. 16 Jul 1900 Germany, who was a farm hand according to his IL WWI draft card - nearest relative, Frank Frerichs of MD.

I appreciate any info on this couple or on either individual. I imagine anyone related to Lillian could supply info about Diedrich/Thomas. Thanks for any help.
Judy Wanderer Petersen

Crawford, Emily Born 1855, Immigrated to US in 1872

Hello, I'm trying to find some connections to my gr gr gr grandmother Emily Crawford. She was born in Ireland in Oct 1855, per the US 1900 Census, and married to Owen McDermott between 1872 and 1880. I know this range because she immigrated to the US in 1872 and he first child was born in Sept 1881. Someone in my family suggest they married in 1879 but I have no source.

I do not know either of her parents names nor can I pinpoint her immigration records yet.

Feel free to email me directly at s.mcdonald@vsnlinternational.com if you have any useful suggestions or contacts.

Thanks - in advance.
