Classification: Query
Surnames: Cremeans, Cremean, Cremeen, Brown, Clagg
Josias is said to be son of the John Cremeans who came from Cork County, Ireland. (alt spellings: Cremeens, Cremean, Cremmean, Crimine, Carmean, Cremeen, etc.)
He is commonly listed as marrying Sarah Brown in 1715.
Josias & Sarah's children are usually listed as follows:
1. James - b. abt 1705*
2. Joseph - b. abt 1710**
3. John - b. aft 1715
4. Josias - b. aft 1715
5. Jeconias - b. abt 1717
6. Moses - b. aft 1715
I am confused though by James and Joseph... They are said to be born before Josias & Sarah are said to be married?
Does anyone have proof that James & Joseph are indeed Josias' children? Why do people feel Sarah Brown is their mother?
My line is said to be:
John -> Josias -> Joseph -> Higgins -> Elizabeth (Clagg)
Although, I have read some people believe Higgins' father is Josias' other son Jeconias. Anyone have any thoughts on this?
