the descendants from Germany's coat of arms is easy to find. The German Cress'/Kress' come from a line of nobility (Kress Von Kressenstein). It wont let me attach the file so I will need you to give me your email.

That would be great. Years ago I received a letter from world book of cresses and they were selling anything with the cress coat of arms ..that they say was the coat of arms anyway. But it was a knights head on top of a shield; inside the shield were three crescent moons angled down to right.I looked on line and the kress from germany was different than cress from France . My descendants are from germany. They migrated from the east to Iowa. I have a lot of paperwork of land that my family owned land in Parma center new York in the 1790s . Indentured papers Owned by Bush not cress but had married a daughter of bush. I am looking for someone to look them over as my great grandmother had given them to me. Sorry this long but I appreciate it.

I will add that Cress with a C may in fact be from Germany as some German families changed the spelling, An example of this is in my own family in which for the longest time I thought my family came from England but then while researching my family I traced the line back to Tobias Cress in NC who's father was Johann Nicolaus Heinrich Kress from Germany.

Hi! My name is Teresa Cress and I am the great grand daughter of Jacob Robert(?). My father was Ancil Cress son of Scott Cress who was the son of Calvin. A few years back I did some research into this also. As far as I was able to tell the children born after Jacob Robert died were born out of wedlock even though Minerva listed them as his children. Which would be impossible since he was already dead. Calvin did not die as an infant, unless she had another son and named him Calvin. Hope this helps! =)

Hello. I was doing a search on my grand parents names and I noticed that Cecil Cress was on yours. He was my grandfather. Born 1909. Lived in Sault Ste. Marie, ON until he died in I think it was 1985. Married to Margarette O'Neil (Cress). We also have relatives in Garden River. Children to Cecil Cress and Margarette were Linda Gail Sheppard (Cress), Jack Cress, Norman Cress, and Eileen Cress (Deceased). You can find Linda Gail Cress (Goes by Gail) on facebook. That's my mother. She knows all the details on our family tree. She actually has Family Tree Maker on the computer and is working on it all the time so I think you and her would have a lot to talk about.

Hello, have you had any luck finding proof of marriage of Campbell Crace to Mahala Craft? I am, also, particularly interested in proof of parentage of Mahala to James W and Drucilla Hammons Craft. Thanks.

I am not sure where to get your email address. mine is steveparrish@charter.net. I don't think my dad ever knew why his parents were divorced or why he was not allowed to see his biological father. I do have a picture Penny sent me of Aunt Dora holding my dad as a toddler. He had very blond hair and as an adult his hair was dark almost alburn.I know from the census that my grandmother and William lived on the same block close by one another. Also Wm. was married after my grandmother and before your grandmother. I am glad he finally had a happy family. Email after you talk to your dad. Carol

Interesting...could you imagine how difficult that must have been for your father? I probably couldn't have gone through with it either. My dad always knew he had a half brother. I don't the family history behind it...why they never knew each other. I'm going to ask him this evening when I see him. Can you get my email address through this website/post?

Penny told be she had a brother named Larry but didn't tell if he had any children. I guess he , your aunt and my dad were half-siblings. I know my dad wanted to see his biological father because he threw all of us kids in the car and drove to San Diego when I was about 7 or 8 . My mom said my dad wanted to see him and I guess talk to him, but he lost his nerve and we went to San Juan Capistrano and the zoo. I would have been nice to have at least to have met him. My dad died in 1972 from kidney disease. I have a youger brother that was born in 1966 so he is close to your age. I was 18 shen he was born. I'm out of space. C

My memories of my grandpa are limited, he died in 71 and I was born in 64. You can email me if you'd like.

Hi,

I've been doing some somewhat casual research on my family's history, and having found myself employed at the Annapolis Heritage Society and their wonderful genealogy resources has definitely helped me in that research. If there are any people doing a search on the Cress family from Clementsvale/ Clements township who would be willing to share any information they've been able to find, that would be great.

I'm currently having difficulties going any further back than my great grandfather George Washington (Joe) Cress who married a Lorna Nass. Joe was born in 1891 and died in 1979. If anyone knows anything on his parents or even on the parents of Lorna Nass, that would be great. cheers!
