Very interesting to read all of these replies...Yes, Tonna, a "Christman" man changed his name from Christman to Crismon when he joined the Mormon Church. his father told him not to take his name with him -- hence changing it. Charles Crismon rose high in the Mormon church -- travellign with Brigham Young and founding a number of towns in the west -- including Mesa, AZ. My grandfather, Lester Caine Crismon b. 8/3/1911 has passed down a ton of info to me, however, I am missing major pieces from the family history...he is rather incapacitated now (some days memory is great, other times not) and I would love some info...My grandfather had a brother -- Paul Crismon, who died in the 1970's in Salt Lake. Their mother's name was Gerturde, father's name was Charles. I know that my grandfather's grandparents on his father's side were Charles and Elizabeth...all lived in Salt Lake. But that is all I know. Forgive me, but I am just starting this process. anyone know anything about the Crismon's who lived in Idaho after the migration to Utah -- ???
Just wondering...love reading your history adn plugging it into mine...
