My uncle Lawrence Crist was married to Ester, they had two sons and one daughter named Laurie. They lived in Thousand Oaks, then they divorced and I think he moved to Gilroy. He died of diabetes complications. His brother was my dad, Harry Charles Crist, who died 10/30/2001 (he was married to Virginia Martinez). Their father was William Crist who lived and died in Compton, CA. I don't know where he was born. He had green eyes and blond hair.

Hello Debbie!
I know you wrote your message in 2004, and it is now 2011! However, I am doing research for a descendent of Henry and Sophia for the Ancestral Trail Historical Society. (ATHS.COM). This descendent is a member of our society, and she is the g g g grand daughter of Crist and Withers. Their reunion must've really, really raised eyebrows back in that time! His poor wife... maybe, I wonder if she had her own affair? :)
The entire thing reminds me of the movie, "The Duchess".
Take care,
Christina Lueken
Wanda,
I just recently came in possesion of Frank McBrides books, correspondences and sytudies on the Crists Families. This man did not just do his line he done all the Crist lines and has had contacted people and had many correspondences throughout the years. Mr. McBride has recently gone to meet the Lord. His family donated his massive study to LDS in Texas. I happen to be on the rootsweb web site and I seen where the LDS was trying to find A home for his books and etc. I contacted them, along with two others. I was the fortunate one who they chose to inherit his valuable possesions. Indeed they are valuable, Mr. McBride spent many years doing Crist genealogy. In the near future I am going to submit this data on the LDS site. So the information will be free to all who is in search of their family tree. I told LDS, this is the only route I would take, because Frank McBride would have wanted it this way. I never have had the honor to speak with him, but a distant cousin who is still living has and my deceased Grt. Uncle had the apportunity. He told me stories about him calling him on occasion. So I was very familiar with his massive study and feel it a honor to continue his work.
Now let's see what I can do for you, first I need more info, I do have a Crist book that contains 73 names of the Biggs line. Can you let me know what how your descendant tree starts and how it ends. I may be able to give you more info than what you have. And is it possible that Jane had an additional name? ex: Mary Jane, Elizabeth Jane? Please correspond with me on my e-mail cb1080@aol.com, please be sure to put Crist records in the subject. I do not open anything if I do not know where it is coming from, because of viruses. Regards cb

My name is Bob Jones. I stumbled across this post from 9 years ago. My mom, Garnet, is a Crist. Her dad was George Ray. His dad was William Wallace Crist. His dad was Charles Franklin Crist...then finally Hawley Crist. Do yo uhave any history further back than Hawley? My email is jonesrc@us.ibm.com Thanks

Need Help with Michigan Branch of the Crist Family

I am trying to find information about one of Andrew Jackson and Jennie Effie Clary-Crist's daughters (and the rest of the family too). They moved from Kansas to Southeastern Michigan (Oakland County) in the early 1920's.

It is commonly reported on trees that their daughter Fern Crist-Moesta died in 1925... in reality Fern passed away in October 1965 (according to her son Louis Charles Moesta, Jr.)

Fern had a short marriage with Louis Charles Moesta, Sr. and they had a son name Louis Charles Moesta, Jr., Louis Jr. stated that his mother (Fern) had an illegitimate child before her marriage to Louis, Sr. named Eleanor Moesta (adopted... her father is reported to have been born in Kentucky). Louis Jr. was separated from mother and half-sister after the divorce. He did meet with his mother and half-sister one time after reaching adulthood.

The present family just learned that Fern did not die in 1925 and about Louis' half-sister Eleanor. Obviously if anyone knows more about them the family would be interested in learning about a branch that the present day Moesta family knew nothing about. Did Fern remarry? Did Eleanor marry? The idea that there are more cousins is exciting!

Can anyone help?

SanfordGray@comcast.net

Elmer was my grandfather. I knew Gladys, his sister in Hermiston, Oregon. Currently, I'm trying to trace this family as they scattered from Colorado to several places in the West.
