      <description>What was your grandmothers first name.  My grandfather came from the same area in about 1890 or so, his name was Concetto Cristina.  He had a brother named Alfio &amp;amp; a sister named Catherine she married a man named Laurence Tomiazzo.  Their dad's name was Sebastian and his mom's name was Michelina Scudiere.  They came through the port in Louisiana &amp;amp; spen the rest of their life there.   </description>

      <description>John Cristina/Christina 11-11-1863 born in Sicily, we believe Sciacca, Sicily.  His father was Joseph and his mother, Vita Bertollina.  &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;John came to the US in 1906 and settled in Houton, TX.  His famiy came in 1912: wife Maria Tilotta, children: Vittina, Josephine, Joseph, Phillip, Anthony and Sam.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;</description>

      <description>Have a little more info about my great-grandfather, John Cristina (US name spelled Christina)  &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;His mother was Vita Bertollina and his father, Joseph Cristina (I assume Joseph's spelling was Guiseppe as he remained in Sicily)&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;We know that my g-grandfather, John Cristina was from Sciacca.</description>

      <description>My family was originally from Sicily, but settled in New London Connecticut back over 100 years ago I think. My grandfathers name was Rosario Cristina, and he had a brother named Frank, Tony, Sam and a sister named Mary. Thats about all I know, maybe that can help somehow.</description>

      <description>I don't know a lot about my Christina/Cristina relatives.  This was my grandmother's maiden name and she was Sicilian from the west coast of Sicily.  She was born in the late 1800's.  Her father, born in 1860, was from Sicily as well.</description>

Beloved husband to Rosinda. Predeceased by parents Francisco and Leucrecia Cristina and survived by step-mother Maria Martins Sousa. Loving father of Isaac and wife Donna of Windsor. Dear grandfather to Noah and Benjamin. Dear brother to Gilberto Palma Cristina of Madrid, Spain, Lizete Palma Cristina and José Maria Martins Cristina both of Portugal. Friends will be received at the Marcotte Funeral Home &amp;amp; Chapel 12105 Tecumseh Road, Tecumseh (519-735-2830) on Monday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Parish prayers at 3:00 p.m. Visiting will continue at Our Lady of Mount Carmal Church 4401 Mount Royal Drive, Windsor, on Tuesday, January 6, 2004 from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
