I have lots of information on CROADs. The earliest is William CROAD buried in Sydling St. Nicholas, Dorset on 4 Dec. 1726. Descendants went on to live in Alverstoke & Portsea in Hampshire. They were mostly shipwrights in the Royal Dockyards. My G.Grandmother was Sarah CROAD born 21 Sep. 1859 at 3 Prestage St., Poplar, Middlesex. She died 25 Jan. 1963 at 4 Belgrave Rd., Wanstead, Essex. I've read the messages posted recently & have no known connections with Devon, Isle of Wight or Weymouth.
