Hi...Just read your info on Croce...My ggrandmother was Maria Santa Croce, used the last name of Croce on most legal records. The small town in Sicily outside of Palmero might be called Sferravacallo. This is where Maria lived and married my ggrandfather Guisseppi Bonocore. They had about 9 children and quite a few immigrated to New York. They came here and opened fruit and vegetable markets in Manahatten then returmed back to Italy.My mother was born in that town and came here to the U.S. in c.1937. There are many relatives there...family names; Bonocore, Croce, Rosa, Callendretti to name a few.
