Carol, or anyone else who reads this:
I am currently in Long Island,NY; central suffolk county. I don't know where the rest of my family came from because my grandfather died whan I was very young. As I research it, more twisted information comes up. I belive I am the second generation to be BORN in the USA. The rest of my family records are somewhere in AUSTRIA and ITALY. I would ask my father but he divorced my mom and him and I don't keep in touch (it's been aboutn 3 years scince Ive seen him.) AS for the rest of his family's side, they would have nothing to do with me. All that's left is my grandmother on my mother's side and what she remembers from AUSTRIA. It's a start I suppose, but not the direction I want. There are so many things I don't understand: are we related? Did something happen in the VERY FAR PAST that our families went on sererate paths and lost touch. Is our familly that big? or is it just some coinsodence that we and the many many other peoples out there share the same last name? I wish I could tell you more. I'm only 15, what can I do?
