TIPTON, Iowa -- Raymond J. Crock Jr., 72, Tipton, died Tuesday, April 6, 2004, on a rural farm near Tipton.
Services are at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Tipton. The Rev. Eugene Benda will officiate. Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation is at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton.
Mr. Crock was born July 16, 1931, in Iowa City, the son of Raymond L. Sr. and Dorothy A. Brennan Crock. He married Margaret Jean Beuter Aug. 2, 1952, in Morse.
He graduated from Tipton High School in 1949.
He was a farmer.
He served on St. Mary's Board and St. Mary's Cemetery Board; was a member of Tipton Moose Lodge; and a past member of Tipton Lions.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife; children, Sue Howe and husband, Scott, of Cedar Rapids, Steve Crock and wife, Denise, and Teresa Wulf and husband, Daniel, all of Tipton, Rita Cowell and husband, Robert, of Lisbon, Kenneth Crock and wife, Sarah, David Crock and wife, Amy, and Diane Wehde and husband, Mike, all of Tipton; 19 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Donald Crock and wife, Marianne, and James Crock and wife, Mary Louise, all of Tipton; and two sisters, Lorna Marchik and Mary Jean Bents and husband, John, all of Tipton.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
