Wow, this may not connect, but I'm glad I looked at the Crock listings. I have been researching my grgr-grandmother Maria/MaryAnn Croke Laffan Ryan. She was born in 1826 - I'd thought in Ireland(according to death cert) but this may be an error. She married Thomas Laffan who had run a grist mill in Canada. M. in abt 1845-47. 1st son James b.in N.Brunswick (could be North or New Brunswick?) James b1848. Second Mary Ann b1850 in WI, all others b.WI Joanna,Anna,Wm,John and Thomas.Husb, #1drown in 1858. 2nd husb.Patrick Ryan m1861 in WI and 4 dau.all b.WI
You can see that with first children so young when their father died - who would have all info?? Ryan girls, Eliza, Margaret(Emma),Ellen(Nellie), Catherine(Tessie) all b.in 1860's/ I'm trying but not getting far.

Who is Zack Crock?

Hitting roadblocks? Frustrated with wild goose chases? Looking for a diversion? Try this one on for size:

Who is Zack Crock and why is he showing up in my family tree?

Here is as much as I know: While doing research about Phebe Martin, wife of Asa Wright, from whose line I descend, I find three references to this Zack Crock fellow who is alleged to have married Phebe in 1811, in Shelby County, Kentucky. Trouble is that I have pretty good data that Phebe and Asa were married until his death in 1850. Not only that, but 1811 is pretty much in the middle of Phebe’s child bearing career as Asa’s wife.

Has anyone else out there run into Mr. Crock? Any leads greatly appreciated. Thanks—Richard Wright
She died in 1962 in CA, and was buried in MO. (Fannie was my G-Grandmother. She was my father's, father's mother!)
Melissa.

Crock/Blair of Pa.

I am searching for any info. on family member's of my grandmother, Roberta Crock. Sometime in 1940 she married Norman Blair, got pregnant and had my mother, Janice Marie Blair. Shortly after having my mother, Roberta died from Hodgekins Disease. I think she had a brother Joe, but not sure if he's still alive! They were living in the Shamokin area at the time of Roberta's death. Anyone with any info. on this family, please e-mail me at...
snyflr695@aol.com Thank-you
