Yes the DNA participation has helped me some, but I am still stuck at a point in Illinois where I have confirmation that my GGG Parents were married. The problem, is that I do not know the name of the Parents of either of my GGGParents so there is a brick wall at that point. Through DNA, I have found that my predecessors came from the Carolina's and have not taken it any further from there... have been busy with work, and family matters....
