I am researching Charles william Crofts son of William and Amelia nee Small born 1817 in Bedfordshire England and died in 1877 in Launceston Tasmania. He married Isabella Reid/Reed/Read in Tasmania in 1851, they had several children Charles, Amelia, Clara, John, Isabella, Arthur, Alfred and Florence.
Charles died young, Amelia went to Sydney and married Arthur Bartlett. Isabella married Robert Stewart and Florence married George Torrance Stewart.
Looking for descendants or anyone who may have information concerning this man and family

I have found several Nason family members, most recently Alicia Nason ?-1867 and Richard Nason Crofts 1831-? and have lots of Crofts in my tree but none as recent as this. How might I get to see some more information? Do you have a tree I can look at?

It may be just coincidence, but I went to Barbourne Prep. School in Worcester with a Harry Crofts in about 1952. His photo appears in a group photo at www.ranford.co.uk/barbourne.htm. My recollection is that he lived near the junction of Droitwich and Ombersley Roads, had an electric train set (much envy!) and that his father ran a bakers (??).

Mike, I see you are also looking for info on Edith Mary Crofts (born in 1894); she was my husband's grandmother and we're trying to build a family tree. Edith married a Smith, and one of their daughters married a Coleman (that's us). There also seem to be some Coldricks looking for this branch of the family! Jane Crofts is my g/g/grandmother. She was born in 1839, West Midlands. In 1859 she married Arthur Bedward. They had at least 11 children, not all survived. There Youngest was Florence Born 1878(my g/grandmother). One of there daughters, Harriette emigrated to Australia and was never heard of again. All this is based around West Bromwich. Can anybody link to this?. I have more info if required.

I am looking for descendants and possible connections to a Rogers family in New York.

William S Crofts of North Samp (sorry I am not sure of the spelling copied from old paper), Valley Co., Nebraska

He had children named -
Rolph V Crofts, Lulu D Crofts and Burt J Croft all at North Samp, Valley Co., Nebraska. And possibly also a Sionne C Crofts, sorry again copied from an old paper. Hi Mary,

Val Thomas Crofts was my grandfather, married to Georgia Langford. Both Val and Georgia died in their early 90's. They lived in Southern California and then moved to Northern California - Redding and finally Cottonwood. I know that they were from Evansville as my mother graduated from high school there. One son, Val Jr. was killed in 1945, a daughter (my mother) Joyce Crofts Rayman died about 30 years ago and two sons: J. Daniel and David are alive and well. I've never posted to a message board before. What kind of information are you looking for.

Hadyn Crofts was born March 1898 at Hull, York, Eng.His father was John William Crofts who died at Hull,Oct 1912 His mother was Annie Elizabeth Dawson, born Aldbrough, yorkshire, Eng. July 1862, she died Salt Lake City Nov. 1931. You may be able to advise me when Annie Elizabeth and her children went to Ut. Hope this will be of help to you.

Hi! Sunny, I'm reseaching the Dawson family from England. We see on the L.D.S. IGI John William Crofts has his name alongside many of our ancestors including our 4 times grandfather. We looked up the Family Search Ancestral File, John married Annie Elizabeth Dawson at Hull, Yorkshire, England 16 July 1884 he died there 18 Oct 1912, Annie must have taken her family to Salt Lake City sometime after,as you say your g/father was about 16 years old. I'm sure that if you look at www.familysearch.org/ you will find a lot that will help you, I think the family may have been members of the L.D.S. Church. I live in Bendigo, Victoria, Australia. in Nottinghamshire-Register of Marriages 1538-1837. Time frame and location are correct for your Elizabeth CROFTS . My Thomas Crafts line is found under both spellings.

I am trying to trace the family of my great grandfather, Francis Crofts
Oral family history says he came from Northallerton in the West Riding of Yorkshire and was a carpenter by trade.
He travelled, walking it is said, to Deepcar near Sheffield, married and had a son named Joseph, born c1885 and died 1931 or 1932.
Joseph married Annie Buxton in around 1913 and had 3 children: Nora, Muriel and Ives.
The latter is my father, born 15/1/1921
Has anybody any information at all?

Know that it's now four years since your post and that we aren't directly connected but just want to acknowledge that my great aunt Violet Emily Symons (b. 1885) married Christopher Nason Crofts of Ballyhoura Lodge, Buttevant, Cork on April 23 1915. Would love to find their descendants.

Crofts, James William had 3 brothers that I know of, Harry born about 1828, Charles Archibald born about 1835 and John. They had an uncle named Henry. All, I believe were born in England. Charles was born in Sheffield.
