Hi Sharon,
Well I was looking for a possible relationship between John Luckey McCREERY and J.D. so far it looks like they may have been only friends, unless you have some McCreery's or Luckeys in your lineage?
A interesting man wasn't he. Is the resteraunt still open?

Best Regards
Kurt

Anna W. Croissant m. Daniel Mansfield Schumo in PA

I am looking for information about my GG-grandmother, Anna W. Croissant b. abt. 1858, PA; m. Daniel Mansfield Schumo. They lived in Philadelphia, PA with their 4 children. Anna's parents came from Germany according to census records in 1920 for Philadelphia, PA. I am looking for her parents' names with no luck. The only family of Croissants that I could find in the 1880 census did not list the name Anna as a daughter, but there was a daughter born of Kate Croissant about 1859 named Minnie. Because census years are not indexed for the time period before Anna was married, and Philadelphia is a highly populated area, I have had no luck wading through the images on-line here. Anyone have any tips or suggestions about how I can get past this brick wall? Anyone know if Minnie is a nick-name for Anna? Any alternate spellings of Croissant that I might try?

Thanks for your help,
Marjorie :)

Sharon Schultz? If you are referring to the Philip Jacob Croissant d.1839, married Anna Barbara Croissant Heintz who was born 1790 - then I think he would be the son-in-law of your GGGG Uncle Joh. Philip/Doll - brother to your GGGG Grandfather Philip Paul/Andrae - correct?? Still no info on Book 12 - will let you know. Sharon Feldman

I have run across an impressive cabinet card
that was identified to me as being J.D.
Croissant, his wife, and son. This photo was
obviously taken in the 1880's judging from
the clothing and mutton chop sideburns. Does
J.D. belong to your family tree?
