Edward J. Croly's relatives spelled the surname Croley. Two sisters of his moved to New York State (Sarah Thomas & Margaret Crossley lived in Plattsburg). One brother, James E., settled in Cadillac Michigan. Two brothers (John & Thomas) remained in Ontario Canada.
The obituary which lists John Supple, Mr. Croly's grandfather, as a prime minister of Canada is not accurate. Mr. Supple served as a member of the first legislative assembly for the province of Ontario, representing the Renfrew riding. The old Supple Farm is the site of the current city hall for the city of Pembroke, Ontario.
